Description: Go4Health aims to inform the process of setting health-related development goals beyond 2015. By means of a detailed examination of experience with the existing health MDGs and an extensive stakeholder consultation, it will make proposals for the post-2015 health-related development objectives. It will ensure that these are based on the best scientific evidence available and address the main shortcomings of the current MDGs. The New Health-related Developments Goals (NHDGs) should strike a balance between horizontal and vertical approaches to healthcare; should support an improved system for global health innovation; and should be measurable, achievable and sustainable, while effectively accounting for the constraints of developing countries for improving health outcomes themselves.
